In addition, our office is authorized to work in all countries of the European Economic Area (EEA).
Our office does not have any interests, shares or voting rights in insurance companies, direct nor indirect. No insurance company has interests, shares or voting rights in our office, direct nor indirect.
About €uropat Local Plus (€LP) and Global Student Insurance (GSI):
€LP and GSI are products developed by Expat & Co. The underwriting, production and claims handling of this product is fully in hands of Expat & Co, and underwritten by Catlin Insurance Company (UK) Ltd.. There are no further links between Catlin and Expat & Co.
About our advice:
In case we give advice or send you an offer, this advice or offer is based on:
- the insurable risk as proposed by the client;
- if available on the market and known by E&C°, a sufficient number of products/suppliers that can cover the proposed risk;
- the clients’ needs and desires concerning the risk or contract.
We try to offer you the best possible advice or product that meets as much as much as possible your needs and desires.
You always have the right to ask the name and address of the insurance company/companies we are handling with.
About your privacy:
The handling of your personal particulars is done according to article 5c of the Belgian Privacy Law of Dec. 8th, 1992 (changed by the law of Dec. 11th, 1998), necessary to fulfil the information duty as mentioned in the Law of March, 27th, 1995 regarding the insurance and reinsurance intermediation and distribution, (changed by the Law of Feb. 22nd, 2006).
According to the privacy Law, you always keep the right to glance through the kept particulars about your person, and you keep the right to let them adapt, if needed.

In case of complaints:
In case of complaints we would ask you first to contact us. If we do not come to an agreement, you can contact the Insurance Ombudsman. He and his team will analyse any complaints you make against:
- Belgian insurance companies that have signed up to the charter
- Insurance brokers
- Datasur
